Yes, just this week in fact! We used Zoom to host. It is super easy. Participants can either connect using video chat or they can do a phone call. The software automatically installs for them if they choose to go the video chat route. When you set up the meeting, it gives clear instructions on how to log in.
In my group, about half the people chose to use video and half used phone. Discussion was smooth and easy - no lulls in a full hour conversation! We are planning to do more with Zoom at our library in the future.

Subject: Online Book Discussion Groups?
Hi Everyone,
Have you had a good experience coordinating an online book discussion group at your library? If so would you be willing to share details?
Thank you in advance & take care--
Shaileen at the Pratt Library
