Hennepin County shelves Fantasy and Science Fiction in its own area (our others are Mystery, Romance, Western, and Graphic) with the words 'SciFi Fantasy' as the first line of the label. Having been the person weeding this collection in one branch or another for over 30 years, I would hate to try and split it. Too much crossover with individual books, and so many authors who write both (Lois McMaster Bujold for example).
