The Overstory by Richard Powers 
Animals People by Indra Sinha 
Solar Storms by Linda Hogan 
The Cartographers by Peng Shepherd 
Stolen Thoughts by Tim Tinger

Some of these are really popular at the library I work at too so I hope that helps!
