There are many football romances so it’s a hard one. You might suggest she take a look at the All About Romance website. A brief search using their Power Search for romances with just the word “football” brought up a good number of titles and maybe one of the covers will seem familiar.

Could also look for football or sports romance lists on Goodreads, but those can be pretty big.
