I don't know if you'll have any copies, but I think of A Gentleman in  
Moscow by Amor Towles as a story of male friendship.

I really liked Stephanie Kallos' Broken For You as an example of a  
community built on love comes together. A wistfully redemptive ending,  
though, not hearts-and-flowers happy.
