Out of all of the "Best Horror Novel" nominees, I've only read "We Sold our Souls" by Grady Hendrix.  While that was a very entertaining and quick read, I'm not sure if I'd classify it as horror.  It had some horror elements, including some dealings with the devil as suggested in the title, but it was pretty funny and had a lot of levity in it as well.  Has anyone else read any of the other horror nominees and if so are they more classical horror or like "We Sold our Souls" are they more of an evolving definition of horror?
