The Bunnicula books by Howe. The dog isn't the main character, but he's significant and doesn't die.

Subject: Dogs that Live

Hi folks,

I'm putting together a list of dog books, but here's the kicker: I need the dog NOT to die at the end. So no (SPOILER ALERT!) Marley and Me, no Art of Racing in the Rain.

I'm pretty open to tone, setting, genre, etc. I just want the dog to play a big part in the book, and to NOT DIE.

Thank you!
