"It was a dark and stormy night. And then the murders began"

Apologies to Madeleine L'Engle
****************

And to Snoopy, I'd hope.

This also works for poetry, with perhaps some fudging on what counts
as a first/second line:

"Awake! For morning in the bowl of night
Hath flung the stone that puts the stars to flight,
And then the murders began."

"Whose woods these are, I think I know,
And then the murders began."

"Let me not to the marriage of true minds
Admit impediements, and then the murders began"

"How do I love thee? Let me count the ways:
And then the murders began."
