I recently read All My Colors, by David Quantick. You could classify it as horror, and it would definitely be horror light. While there are creepy moments, there are no scenes with gratuitous violence or cheap scares. It's well written with interesting characters, though the protagonists is extremely unlikable. Might be worth checking out.
