I'm really not sure -- I would appreciate any advice you have!

The patron and I could not come up with any fragment of the title or author's name to help with the search; I did in fact end up stringing the key points on Google in several combinations, then tried trawling lists of country/sports romances, but didn't turn up anything the patron recognized. The patron gave up, but I'm hoping to have a couple new possibilities to show them next I see them. Is there anything else I could try, or would I need further details about the story from the patron to stand a chance of finding it?
