Joe Keenan's "Philip and Gilbert" farces center on a New York songwriter
and the best friend who keeps getting him involved in his wacky (and
borderline criminal) schemes. If P. G. Wodehouse were a contemporary gay
American, these are the novels he'd have written. There are three of them:
Blue Heaven (1988), Putting on the Ritz (1991), and My Lucky Star (2006).
The first and third won the Lambda Literary Award for Humor.
