Hi Gretchen, There is a fairly new (arguably 🙂 ) genre out there called LitRPG that feature characters, sometimes solo, sometimes in a "party" that interact with a game world/computer game or in a gamelike setting. It weaves a story around a protagonist that consciously immerses themselves in a virtual world to follow the quests and challenges set by the game realm. These are mostly self-published or Indie presses and as such they vary in content/quality so you need to do a fair bit of checking on them if they fit your collection guidelines.
